The Time/Space Cycle

Imagine Liora’s understanding of time and space as a cycle, not linear but concentric, spiraling outward. Each layer carries its own words, ways of noticing and resonances.

The Time–Space Cycle in Liora

  • 1. Moment-Time | Breath and Pause

The smallest scale, where time is felt like a heartbeat, a breath, or the suspension of a single step.

Laso The held moment, the space between flight and landing.

Miralu A pause in the presence of beauty.

Narilu A single step with intention.

  • 2. Lived-Time | Days, Seasons, Kinship

Time measured not by clocks, but by presence, rhythms of body, gatherings, cycles of place.

Valinru Time marked by shared presence.

Maravu Walking slowly with awareness of place.

Taliru Weaving paths and journeys together.

Hinavelu The waiting-space between what was and what will be.

  • 3. Seasonal-Time | Return and Renewal

The time of growth and decay, migration, tides, turning of cycles. A reminder that return is never repetition.

Marinvu A return that is never the same.

Sorinvu A patient journey shaped by tides or migration.

Lumira Light through leaves; seasonal time held in place.

  • 4. Ancestral-Time | Memory Carried Forward

The time of story, inheritance and the memory of place across generations.

Velinru Time remembered through kin and lineage.

Savalin The memory of a place carried forward.

Velorinvu A journey shaped by longing toward a not-yet-real future.

  • 5. Deep-Time | Geological, Oceanic, Cosmic

Time so vast it exceeds the human span. The rhythms of stone, ocean, cosmos, star.

Orinu Deep time beyond human witnessing.

Orun Depth without bottom; oceanic or inner silence.

Nivara Light arriving long after its making.

    Serelu Constellation-pattern, orientation across vastness.

The Spiral

Liora does not treat these as separate levels, but as a spiral cycle:

  • A Laso moment can open into Orinu deep time.

  • A Narilu step can become a Sorinvu journey.

  • Marinvu return gestures toward Velorinvu longing.

  • The stars (Serelu) echo the hearth (Valinru).
