ELYRA THE BLOOMING VEIL
Embodies Beauty
A great moth whose wings carry gardens in their folds.
Every beat spills color into the sky, but her beauty is fleeting, for the petals she unfurls wither as soon as they fall.
Elyra reminds mortals that beauty is not permanence, but the brief shimmer that makes impermanence bearable.
ORIGIN
In the first dusk after the Loom of Pattern was strung, the threads tangled into a knot of radiance. From this knot rose Elyra, a moth vast as a drifting cloud, her wings carrying the hues of dawn and dusk both. She was born because mortals, upon seeing the first sky, gasped and that gasp itself became her breath. Elyra reminds all who look upon her that beauty is not captured but unveiled, then gone.
